DeSmet Stadium is home to Club Atletico Saint Louis
Club Atletico will return to DeSmet for a second season this summer. The accommodations are phenomenal compared to most options in the area. DeSmet athletic director, Harold Barker, treats Club Atletico as if it was his own. He ensures a professional environment on the campus including staff and facility options. Club Atletico is happy to build their future here until the time comes to have their own stadium one day.
How long until club atletico can build their stadium of their own?
Before Covid, the Garza family created strong momentum to build their own stadium in Hazelwood, Missouri. The last piece was to finalize a guarantor for the project. The two neighborhood associations had agreed to allow the stadium to fit snug between the homes giving the project a true community atmosphere. But then Covid came and shut down the next steps and it faded away.
Enjoy the renderings of the stadium and what the project will look like in the coming future. With a stadium, Club Atletico could ensure a very long soccer legacy of giving soccer to kids without a cost to play. The stadium could generate enough revenue to not only drive the community soccer project but also create a fundraising platform for other non-profit organizations.
